This Christmas, Shaun the Sheep is getting woollier than ever, and this time, it’s all thanks to the imagination of a seven-year-old Sarah, from West Yorkshire. Her winning design for our nationwide competition has been brought to life. The exclusive ‘Three Wise Sheep’ jumper for Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day.
Chosen from over 800 entries. The design was praised by celebrity judge and renowned jumper collector Gyles Brandreth. Who commended the charming and festive scene featuring three sheep, a Christmas tree, a shining star, and a present. Gyles, famous for wearing a different jumper every day of the year, said:
“The designs are all delightful and come from the heart. Simplicity, impact, colour, charm. When it comes to a Christmas jumper there’s no harm in a cliché – go for the obvious. The winning design is very attractive… a full festive scene with the sheep, Christmas tree, star and the present. A huge well done to the winner from West Yorkshire! I’m absolutely thrilled to add the jumper to my collection.”
This year’s competition marks a first: Shaun’s jumper has been recreated from a child’s sketch into a real jumper, all in aid of a woolly worthy cause. The exclusive limited-edition jumpers are made from 100% British wool. And supports Save the Children in providing vital food, healthcare and education to children in the UK and around the world.
The ‘Three Wise Sheep’ jumper has been expertly manufactured in the UK by Corah Textiles. A company renowned for its high-quality knitwear craftsmanship in Leicester. Every stitch reflects the skill and care of British textile manufacturing, ensuring that this festive jumper is as durable and sustainable as it is delightful.
