CLÒ FOLD – from the Scottish Gaelic clò, meaning cloth, and inspired by the sheepfold – is a fully British brand rooted in land, craft, and provenance.
We work exclusively with 100% traceable British wool, backing UK farmers who sit at the heart of everything we do. By actively creating demand for British fleece, we show farmers that their wool is wanted, valued, and worth investing in. We are committed to working closely with our growers, ensuring fair prices, long-term relationships, and respect for the care they put into their land and livestock. Every component is sourced and made in the UK, keeping skills, supply chains, and value local. At a time when much of the fashion industry has moved production overseas, CLÒ FOLD exists to strengthen demand for British wool, champion rural livelihoods, and proudly put Made in the UK back on the label.
Inspired by the countryside that shaped us – from the wild Scottish Hebridean islands through the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, to Norfolk where we are now based -CLÒ FOLD blends British heritage with a modern, understated sensibility. Designed for country-to-town living, our timeless pieces are made to be layered, worn year-round, and kept for years to come. Guided by our ethos, Land Led Living, we create clothing that honours where it comes from, who made it, and the landscapes that continue to inspire it.
The Holt Gilet is a timeless layering piece, crafted from 100% traceable British wool in a classic herringbone weave, available in brown ecru, stone, and peat. Thoughtfully made in Norfolk within a 20-mile radius of our base, it features Codelite buttons from Courtney & Co in the Cotswolds and a soft 100% viscose twill lining in light fawn. An embroidered CLÒ FOLD logo sits discreetly on the pocket, a quiet mark of provenance and pride. Designed with versatility in mind, the Holt Gilet is cut to sit loosely enough to layer comfortably over a chunky knit, yet remains structured and refined when worn with a blouse, dress, or shirt – effortlessly bridging country and town, season after season.
