Traceable Clapdale Wool Flat Cap
A traditional flat cap manufactured in the North of England from Glencroft‘s own Clapdale Wool tweed.
This thick traceable British wool tweed is woven in Yorkshire from a blend of Dalesbred sheep. Sourced on three farms within 10 miles of Glencroft’s Yorkshire Dales warehouse.
The Dalesbred breed wool in this cap has gone no further than 55 miles. From the sheep it was sheared from, to the yarn spinners, to the mill the cloth was woven in and finally to the factory where the caps are cut and manufactured.
It has been lined with GOTs certified organic cotton.
These flat caps come in 11 hat sizes from 6 7/8 to 8 (55 – 65cm).
Clapdale Wool
Clapdale Wool is manufactured exclusively by Glencroft from fleeces collected from farms within ten miles of their warehouse in Clapham, Yorkshire Dales.
Farmers are paid a decent price for their clip and in addition a share of the profits from everything made from this wool, including this cap, will also go back to the farms.
Delivery
We ship within the UK with Royal Mail Tracked 48 and internationally with Royal Mail International Tracked.
Occasionally we’ll use Parcelforce or DHL for larger orders.

Returns
Items purchased online must be returned for a refund or exchange in an unused and resalable condition for a full refund. Where a product is faulty or damaged, we will refund the original delivery charge, but not when a product is simply unwanted.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also carry no smell of pets, perfumes or smoke.
In the event of a jumper shrinking in the wash, we will not accept return. All jumpers are sold with a ‘Hand Wash Cool, Dry Flat’ care label and provided these instructions are followed, the jumper will not shrink.
Please note – the Wool Safe washing machine cycle is not a safe method of washing our wool jumpers.
Please note we use 100% British wool, this will smell like real wool.
